L’affectation en Université Partenaire

Vous le savez, l’internationalité et donc l’expatriation sont au cœur du projet pédagogique du Bachelor de TBS Education. Et c’est, pour ceux qui partent au semestre 3 ou au semestre 4, une actualité dès le début de la première année.
Donc, chers parents, à vos agendas, voici les dates clés en fonction du semestre d’affectation de votre enfant :

Dates clés semestre 3 :

• Examen IELTS : 15-18 janvier 2024
• Résultats IELTS : début février 2024
• Choix des Destinations : 8-12 février 2024
• Confirmations des affectations : début mars 2024
• Inscription et choix de cours dans l’université ou campus affecté : mars à fin mai 2024
• Organisation des visas, logements, vols, assurances : avril à juillet 2024
• Début du semestre : juillet à octobre 2024
• Fin de semestre : décembre 2024 à fin janvier 2025 

Dates clés semestre 4 :

• Examen IELTS : 15-19 avril 2024
• Résultats IELTS : mi-mai 2024
• Choix des destinations : 15-19 juin 2024
• Confirmations des affectations : début juillet 2024
• Inscription et choix de cours dans l’université ou campus affecté : juillet à novembre 2024
• Organisation des visas, logements, vols, assurances : août / septembre à décembre 2024
• Début du Semestre : janvier à avril 2025
• Fin de Semestre : avril à août 2025

Depuis l’International Week qui s’est tenue à TBS Education en octobre dernier, et les diverses réunions d’information animées par l’équipe du service mobilité internationale, vos enfants et vous-même avez certainement bien avancé sur les choix possibles en accord avec leur niveau de langue, niveau académique, leur projet professionnel et vos impératifs familiaux et financiers.

Pour cette dernière ligne droite avant la sélection de vos vœux, nous insistons sur cette réflexion concertée, condition indispensable à une expatriation réussie.

Afin de faciliter vos démarches, nous vous dressons la « to do list » pour les étudiants pour préparer le départ en expatriation :

• Vérifier la date de validité du passeport de votre enfant. Nous avons demandé aux étudiants d’avoir un passeport valable jusqu’à minimum avril 2026 avant de postuler à toutes destinations hors Europe.
• Choisir les universités partenaires en fonction des niveaux requis et en adéquation avec les résultats académiques et linguistiques (test IELTS et test de langue) du B1 de votre enfant. L’étudiant doit réfléchir et choisir un minimum de 15 universités.
• Elargir ses choix : il n’y a pas de « mauvaise destination ».
• Rechercher sur les différents choix possibles détaillés sur le tableau de prérequis : université, pays, traditions culturelles, météo…
• Finaliser la liste avec votre enfant autour des impératifs propres à votre famille : budget, éloignement, taille de la ville de destination, raisons médicales, contraintes particulières.
• En février pour les départs au semestre 3, votre enfant devrait enregistrer sa liste d’universités partenaires (minimum 15) sur C@mpus par ordre de préférence.
• En juin pour les départs au semestre 4, votre enfant devrait enregistrer sa liste d’universités partenaires (minimum 15) sur C@mpus par ordre de préférence.
• Pour chaque université il y a un nombre spécifique de places. L’étudiant ne pourra pas être affecté à l’université s’il/elle ne remplit pas les prérequis ou s’il ne reste plus de place dans les universités qu’il/elle a détaillé. Si aucun des choix est validé par l’algorithme, une nouvelle liste d’universités avec des places disponibles sera proposée à l’étudiant, il devra alors faire des nouveaux choix selon ses prérequis.
• Les étudiants peuvent contacter l’équipe Mobilité Internationale Bachelor – outgoing.bachelor@tbs-education.fr – pour toute question médicale ou familiale importante impactant l’expatriation ou prendre rendez-vous avant de faire les vœux. Pour rappel, les étudiants sont nos interlocuteurs privilégiés.
• Ne pas manquer la période d’inscription. Elle ne sera pas prolongée. Si aucun vœux n’est fait, nous ferons une affectation automatique de l’étudiant selon les places restantes et ses prérequis.

L’affectation finale sera communiquée individuellement à chaque étudiant par email uniquement. Toute affectation est définitive et non négociable.

Placement in a Partner University

As you know, developing an international mindset and studying abroad are core elements of the TBS Education Bachelor educational program. And for the students who study abroad in semester 3 or semester 4, it starts right at the beginning of the first year. So, dear parents, reach for your diaries as here are your key dates depending on to which semester your child has been affected:

Key dates semestre 3 :

• IELTS results: early February 2024
• Choice of Destinations: February 8 to12, 2024
• Confirmation of Allocations: early March 2024
• Registration and course selection at partner university or campus: March to end of May 2024
• Organising visas, housing, flights, insurance: April to July 2024
• Semester Start: July to October 2024
• Semester ends: December 2024 to end of January 2025

• Choice of Destinations: June 15 to 19, 2024
• Confirmation of Allocations: Early July 2024
• Registration and course selection at partner university or campus: July to November 2024

• Semester ends: April to August 2025

Since the International Week held at TBS Education last October, and the information sessions organized by the International Mobility Team every month, we are confident that you and your child have made good progress in thinking through the choices of destination according to their academic and language level, their professional project and your family and financial constraints.

For this final stage before the registration period, we would like to emphasize the importance of parent-student discussion, which is an essential factor for a successful period abroad.

To make it easy for you, we have put together a “to do list” for students to prepare for expatriation:

• Check the validity date of your child’s passport. The passport should be valid at least until April 2026. 
• Choose the partner universities according to the required levels and in adequacy with the academic and linguistic results (IELTS test and language test) of your child’s first year at TBS. The student must choose a minimum of 15 choices of universities.
• Broaden your choices: there is no such thing as a “bad destination”.
• Research the different possible choices detailed on the table of prerequisites: university, country, cultural traditions, weather…
• Finalize the list with your child reflecting on your family’s specific requirements: budget, distance, size of the destination city, medical reasons, other constraints.
• For departure on Semester 3, your child should register his/her list of partner universities (minimum 15) on C@mpus in order of preference in February.
• For departure on Semester 4, your child should register his/her list of partner universities (minimum 15) on C@mpus in order of preference in June.
• For each university there is a specific number of places. The student cannot be assigned to the university if he/she does not meet the pre-requisites or if there are no more places left in the university. If none of the choices is validated by the algorithm, the student will be removed from the list and will be offered a new list of universities where there are remaining places. The student will have to do a new choice according to his/her pre-requisites.
• Contact the Bachelor International Mobility Team – outgoing.bachelor@tbs-education.fr – for any important medical or family issues impacting the expatriation or make an appointment before the registration period. As a reminder, students are our preferential interlocutors.
• Do not miss the registration period. It will not be extended. All postings are final and non-negotiable. 

The final allocation will be communicated individually to each student, by email only. All assignments are final and non-negotiable.
