Service citoyen : le forum des associations

C’est une particularité de la scolarité à TBS Education : pour passer en 2^e année, les étudiants du Bachelor doivent avoir validé un service citoyen dans une association. D’une durée de 35h, cet engagement qui donne lieu à une évaluation de la part de l’association a pour objectif de les sensibiliser au bénévolat et à l’action solidaire et également d’identifier des structures à but non lucratif à impact (dont les missions ont un impact positif sur la société, l’environnement, l’économie, la santé…) tout en les ouvrant à des milieux et à des situations qu’ils ne connaissent pas toujours. Ils peuvent choisir le domaine d’activité qu’ils souhaitent – humanitaire, social, éducatif, sportif… — La seule contrainte étant de réaliser une mission bénévole de terrain avec les membres de l’association.

Afin d’accompagner les étudiants dans la recherche de leur future association, l’équipe du Career Services, en charge de l’accompagnement des étudiants pour ce Service Citoyen, a organisé cette année le Forum des associations, en septembre à Toulouse et en octobre à Paris. Après une présentation du dispositif et des attendus, les étudiants ont pu rencontrer des associations partenaires de TBS Education qui pourraient les accueillir. Un annuaire répertoriant plus d’une centaine d’associations habituées à accueillir les étudiants leur a également été mis à leur disposition. Ils repartent avec tous les éléments pour trouver le service citoyen qui répondra à la thématique d’engagement social qui leur tient à cœur !

Citizen service: the associations forum 

It’s a particularity of studying at TBS Education: in order to go through to the second year, Bachelor students have to complete a citizen service in a non-profit organisation. Lasting 35 hours, this service is evaluated by the organisation. The aim is to make students aware of voluntary work and humanitarian actions, and also to identify non-profit impact structures (whose missions have a positive impact on society, the environment, the economy, health, etc…). while at the same time opening them up to environments and situations they did not necessarily know. They can choose the field they wish to work in – humanitarian, social welfare, education, sport, etc. – the only obligation being to carry out a voluntary mission in the field with the members of the organisation.

In order to support students in the research for their future organisation, the Career Services team, in charge of supporting students for this Citizen Service, has organized the “Forum des associations” this year in september in Toulouse and in october in Paris. After a presentation of the system and the expectations, the students were able to meet the partner organisations of TBS Education which could host them. A directory, listing more than a hundred organisations used to host students, has also been given to them. They leave with all the elements to find the citizen service that will respond to the theme of social commitment that is close to their heart!
