Quentin Loppart, l’engagement comme moteur de vie

De la Corée au BDE

Le Bureau des élèves, c’est la principale association étudiante, qui coordonne l’organisation des événements et activités dans tous les domaines pour animer le campus, des soirées au sport, en passant par les arts et le développement durable… Son élection donne lieu chaque année à une campagne festive et dynamique. Dès la rentrée de 2^e année, Quentin monte un projet avec ses amis. Ils recrutent la quarantaine de colistiers qui formeront l’équipe, font campagne, et sont élus au mois de février pour l’année suivante.
Entre-temps, le futur président du BDE s’envole vers la Corée du Sud pour son semestre d’expatriation dans une université partenaire. « J’ai passé six mois exceptionnels, dans un dépaysement total, où j’ai beaucoup gagné en maturité et en autonomie », se souvient-il.

Une expérience humaine et professionnelle

De retour à Toulouse, le voilà donc en 3^e année, à mener de front avec une belle énergie son cursus académique et son mandat à la tête de l’association étudiante. « Je pense que cela restera l’une des plus belles expériences humaines et professionnelles de ma vie, affirme-t-il avec enthousiasme. C’est très stimulant de fédérer les énergies et de tout faire pour que les étudiants passent une année inoubliable ». Quentin a aussi trouvé dans cette mission un terrain idéal pour mettre en pratique en quasi temps réel les compétences acquises en cours : management, communication et marketing, ressources humaines, gestion… Au bout du compte, il a beaucoup appris sur lui-même dans ce poste à responsabilité : « Cela demande pas mal de sang-froid et d’organisation pour supporter la pression, j’ai aussi progressé sur ce plan-là ». Un véritable engagement donc, reconnu et accompagné par TBS Education, que Quentin a assumé avec plaisir. « L’engagement est un moteur dans ma vie. Depuis 2020, je suis conseiller municipal de ma commune de Venerque, et j’ai également passé le brevet national de sauveteur en mer. Quand on a des projets, il n’y a qu’en s’engageant qu’on peut les réaliser », conclut-il. Plus qu’un moteur, une philosophie de vie.

Quentin Loppart, commitment as a life force

Quentin Loppart stands on the threshold of a new cycle. At the end of his 3rd year internship at the music radio station Europe 2 in Paris, he will leave TBS Education to deepen his specialist knowledge of communications and events via a Master’s degree. This new phase concludes the exceptionally rich experience he had during the three years of his Bachelor’s program, which began in the midst of the public health crisis. “I was introduced to student life in unusual conditions, between distance learning classes and drinks parties held on Zoom. But the school was able to help us get through this period and create a real group spirit. I met some great friends here, a solid group with whom I embarked on the Student Office adventure,” he explains.

From Korea to the Student Office

The Student Office is the main student society. It coordinates and organizes events and activities in all areas to liven up the campus, from parties to sports, from the arts to sustainable development, etc. Elections to the Student Office generate festive and dynamic campaigns every year. At the beginning of the second year, Quentin and his friends set up a new project. They recruited the forty or so people needed to form a team and drive the campaign and were duly elected in February to take office the following year.
In the meantime, the future president of the Student Office flew to South Korea for his expatriate semester at a partner university. “I spent six incredible months in a totally unfamiliar environment where I gained a lot of maturity and self-reliance,” he recalls.

A human and professional experience

Back in Toulouse, he is now in his third year and pursuing both his academic studies and his mandate as head of the student association with great energy. “I think this will always be one of the best human and professional experiences of my life,” he said with enthusiasm. “It’s very stimulating to combine our energies and do everything possible to ensure that the students have an unforgettable year.” Quentin also found this mission to be the perfect opportunity to put into practice in real time the skills acquired in class: management, communication and marketing, human resources, etc. Ultimately, this position of responsibility has taught him a lot about himself: “It takes a cool head and a lot of organization to handle the pressure, and I’ve also made progress in that area.” It’s a big commitment, recognized and supported by TBS Education, that Quentin was happy to take on. “Commitment is a driving force in my life. Since 2020, I’ve been a municipal councilor in my town of Venerque, and I’ve also passed the national lifeguard certificate. When you have plans, you can only achieve them through commitment,” he concluded. More than a driving force, it’s a way of life.
