TBS Education : les ambitions du nouveau campus parisien

Afin d’accélérer son développement, TBS Education a déménagé à Paris sur un nouveau site trois fois plus grand. Cette implantation s’inscrit dans une stratégie de renouvellement complet, avec l’ouverture à la rentrée 2022 du nouveau campus de Barcelone et le démarrage prochain de la construction du site toulousain.

Le 12 septembre, les étudiants parisiens de TBS Education ont fait leur rentrée sur leur nouveau campus de la rue Saint-Lambert, au cœur du très universitaire 15^e arrondissement. Ces locaux situés en plein centre de Paris concrétisent les ambitions de développement de l’Ecole dans la capitale.

Des conditions optimales pendant et après les cours

Le site aménagé dans un ancien lycée réunit sur une surface de 4 000 m² les équipements et installations nécessaires pour étudier dans les meilleures conditions : salles de cours lumineuses, deux amphithéâtres, salles de travail dont une salle de marché équipée avec des PC Bloomberg, incubateur, espace de coworking, centre de documentation… Le campus, organisé autour d’une cour arborée de 1000 m², s’attache également à la qualité de vie et au confort des étudiants, avec plusieurs espaces de détente et deux cafétérias. Ce bâtiment dont l’architecture ancienne présente le charme typique des établissements scolaires parisiens, fera dans les prochains mois l’objet d’une rénovation. Celle-ci permettra de le mettre aux normes techniques et réglementaires, mais aussi d’aménager de nouvelles salles adaptées à la pédagogie innovante de TBS Education.

Favoriser les échanges avec les Alumnis

Le campus de Paris accueille cette année 450 étudiants du Programme Grande Ecole en M1 et M2 en alternance dans plusieurs spécialités, ainsi que le Master spécialisé en Marketing et Communication. « Nous avons ouvert le M1 cette année, cela permet d’être au plus près du bassin d’emploi parisien et de faciliter la vie des étudiants qui ont trouvé leur contrat d’alternance dans la région. Nous avons aussi l’ambition de développer la formation continue sur le site », explique Louis-Marie Juvin, responsable du campus.

Cette nouvelle implantation bénéficiera de la présence à Paris de 10 000 alumnis de l’Ecole, qui contribueront à la vie du campus. « Nous nous appuyons sur ce réseau pour nourrir les étudiants et les accompagner dans leurs projets et leurs débuts professionnels. C’est l’objet des animations événementielles que nous développons, en particulier les meet-up mensuels au cours desquels des alumnis viennent partager leur expérience », poursuit Louis-Marie Juvin. 

Bientôt le Bachelor

Dès l’année prochaine, le Bachelor, qui bénéficie déjà d’une belle notoriété auprès des potentiels étudiants parisiens, s’implantera à son tour sur le campus. Deux sections de 1^re année seront proposées à la rentrée 2023, en français et en anglais, avant une montée en puissance progressive. Egalement en septembre prochain, une filière spécialisée en Distribution et Commerce, lancée en partenariat avec l’Institut du commerce, accueillera les étudiants de 3^e année en alternance. « Il s’agit d’une offre inédite, sur laquelle TBS Education occupera un positionnement de pointe. Cette création permettra de répondre aux besoins de professionnalisation du secteur, en particulier sur trois métiers en tension : chef de secteur, chef de rayon et assistant category manager », précise Patricia Bournet, directrice du Bachelor.

A l’horizon 2025, ce sont 300 étudiants qui pourront poursuivre l’intégralité du cursus sur le campus de Paris. « Le programme, grade de licence reconnu par l’Etat, apportera les mêmes garanties d’excellence et d’exigence que sur les campus de Toulouse, Barcelone et Casablanca. Il suit la même maquette pédagogique, avec des spécialisations adaptées au territoire de la région parisienne », ajoute Patricia Bournet. Pour tous les étudiants inscrits au Bachelor, il offrira une opportunité supplémentaire de mobilité.

TBS Education: ambitions for the new Paris campus

To speed up its development, TBS Education has moved to a new site in Paris that is three times larger. This move is part of a comprehensive renewal strategy, with the opening of the new Barcelona campus in September 2022 and the upcoming start of construction of the Toulouse site.

On September 12, students at TBS Education in Paris started the school year on their new campus on Rue Saint-Lambert, in the heart of the very student-oriented 15th arrondissement. These premises, located in the heart of Paris, are a concrete expression of the School’s development ambitions in the capital

Optimal conditions during and after class

The site, located in a former high school, has a surface area of 4,000 m2 and offers all the equipment and facilities needed to study in the best possible conditions: bright classrooms, two lecture halls, work rooms including a trading room equipped with Bloomberg PCs, an incubator, a coworking space, a documentation center, etc. The campus, organized around a 1,000 m2 tree-lined courtyard, also focuses on students’ quality of life and comfort, with several relaxation areas and two cafeterias. The building, whose historic architecture exudes the charm typical of Parisian schools, will be renovated in the coming months. This will bring the building up to technical and regulatory standards, and will also provide new rooms tailored to TBS Education’s innovative teaching methods.

Promoting dialogue with Alumnae

This year, the Paris campus is home to 450 students from the Grande Ecole program on M1 and M2 work-study programs in several specialties, as well as the specialized Master’s program in Marketing and Communication. “We opened the M1 program this year, which allows us to be closer to the Paris job pool and to make life easier for students who have found their work-study contract in the region. We also aim to develop continuing education on the site,” explains Louis-Marie Juvin, campus manager. This new facility will benefit from the presence in Paris of 10,000 alumni of the School, who will contribute to campus life. “We rely on this network to nurture students and support them in their projects and their early careers. This is the goal of the events we are developing, in particular the monthly meetups during which alumni come to share their experience,” continues Louis-Marie Juvin. 

Bachelor’s degree coming soon

As of next year, the Bachelor’s degree, which is already well known among potential Parisian students, will also be offered on campus. Two first-year sections will be offered at the start of the 2023 academic year, in French and English, before gradually increasing in number. Also next September, a specialized program in Distribution and Commerce, launched in partnership with the Institut du Commerce, will welcome third-year students on a sandwich course. “This is a new and unique offering, and TBS Education will be at the forefront of this field. This initiative will help meet the sector’s need for professionalization, particularly in three areas of high demand: sector manager, department manager and assistant category manager,” says Patricia Bournet, director of the Bachelor program.

By 2025, 300 students will be able to complete the entire program on the Paris campus. “The program will provide the same guarantees of excellence and high standards as the Toulouse, Barcelona and Casablanca campuses. It follows the same pedagogical model, with specializations tailored to the Paris region,” adds Patricia Bournet. For all students enrolled in the Bachelor program, it will offer further opportunities for mobility.
