Capital of Catalonia, and the second largest city in Spain, Barcelona is a dynamic European business centre and one of the world’s most popular cosmopolitan destinations. Its excellent geographical location by the sea, combined with its reputation as an international trade hub, and status as an innovative, artistic melting pot, attracts a wealth of talent, not to mention tourists!

As a student, life in Barcelona is never dull. There is a huge variety of cultural, artistic and sporting activities to experience, all set against the magnificent architectural backdrop of the city. The narrow streets of the different quarters host a vast number of cafés, bars, boutiques and nightclubs, and further afield there are mountains, beaches and stunning towns to explore. You can truly call Barcelona the city which never sleeps!

History of TBS Barcelona

Toulouse Business School and the French Chamber of Commerce in Barcelona founded the Escuela Superior Europea de Comercio (ESEC), or ESEC, in 1995.  The goal was to open an elite business school similar to the “Grande Ecoles” in France – truly international, allowing its students to feel at ease with the linguistic, cultural, and business spheres on both sides of the Pyrenees.  In 2004, Toulouse Business School assumed complete control of ESEC becoming Toulouse Business School Barcelona Campus. In 2008, due to continuing growth, the campus moved to new facilities in the heart of Barcelona. In 2013, it officially became known as Toulouse Business School and its Barcelona Campus (ESEC) became TBS Barcelona.
